When we deployed to the Dominican Republic at the beginning of 2023, our ministry assignment for the first year was to focus on language learning, building relationships, and engaging and understanding the culture/community we would be living in. But most importantly, it was to listen to the heart of the local church and seek God on how we could effectively partner with them in spreading the Gospel. Reflecting and realizing that we have been in the Dominican Republic for seven months is humbling. As we look forward to 2024, preparing for that next season is crucial as we walk through this current one.

Leadership development and discipleship are essential aspects as any ministry moves forward, and the Foursquare Dominican Churches are asking for just that. We have been working with Pastor Juan Carlos, our Foursquare Dominican Republic National Leader, on a discipleship process to solidify a foundation for this next season of ministry for everyone.
We have also been hosting and assisting short-term teams when they visit. Like Grace Covenant Church, who continued their Quarterly Pastoral Leadership Training Program last month. They also held a marriage seminar and two children Community Outreaches with our Haitian Churches in Santo Domingo.

PRAYER POINTS:
- Pray for our morning ministry in the park. The park is where people come to walk and exercise. People are starting to take time during their mornings to engage with us, worship, and pray as they walk. Please continue in prayer for this time each day. There is no local church in our corner of the city and we desire to launch a small group in this community.
- Pray for direction as we research Discipleship Programs for the churches and wisdom as we plan for our pilot launch.
