We’ve had a remarkable month! Your generous donations of new chairs for Cántico Nuevo made a significant impact. Matt had a successful trip to Jamaica, and we joyfully celebrated our third anniversary in the Dominican Republic. We also cherished our Christmas celebration here, and both kids participated in their first sports events.
Jamaice FDR Medical
Matt spent 17 days in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa. Foursquare Disaster Relief deployed a medical team to serve in an area heavily impacted by the storm. We partnered with a Nazarene ministry that provided lodging and a beautiful clinic that had not been used since early 2020. The FDR team included doctors, and with additional support from the Jamaican Health Department and the Nazarene Church, we had access to even more medical professionals, including additional doctors, a dentist, and an optician. This allowed us to address the physical needs of many individuals while also creating opportunities to slow down, listen to their stories, and bring the healing power of the Lord into our interactions through prayer.
Making Room for 10 More
Cántico Nuevo, our home church in the Dominican Republic, has longed to replace the old plastic chairs they have used for years with new, comfortable cloth chairs. Through our partnership on Giving Tuesday and your incredible generosity, we were able to contribute and help make this a reality. Thank you for your heartfelt giving, which has fostered a more welcoming and comfortable environment for our cherished friends. As the church discusses its vision for the year ahead, we are filled with excitement to be a part of what God is accomplishing through His church.
