Pastor Deyanira has embraced the responsibility of becoming the National Leader of the Foursquare Church in the Dominican Republic! With Ariel as the Assistant Leader and the Board of Directors for the next five years, she is committed to nurturing and cherishing all the blessings God has bestowed upon the church. Juan Carlos has been an outstanding national leader for the past decade, and we are filled with anticipation for the journey ahead. Deyanira brings an infectious passion and energy for the next-gen ministry, offering an exhilarating glimpse into the Church's future. We were honored to host our visitors during the convention week, who came to celebrate this new chapter. Aaron and Emilito traveled from Colombia, Gareth made his way from Jamaica, Charlie came all the way from Spain, and Tom joined us from the US. We shared wonderful moments, exploring and witnessing the powerful connections they forged with our pastors and churches!
STARTING TO SEE THE FRUIT OF RELATIONSHIPS AND HEALTHY PARTNERSHIPS
Our first two years in this new country were dedicated to learning the language and building relationships. It was challenging to enter, observe, listen, and learn when all we wanted to do was start “doing”! However, it was vital to understand the hearts of our congregations and pastors and strive to partner with them. Too often, we can impose our American way of life. It is incredible to see how God humbles us all from time to time, and through this process, beautiful connections and friendships have formed. Last year, we acquired a vehicle, which provided us with a new and amazing way to connect. We can now not only easily visit someone or help bring items to people, but it has also allowed us to give them rides at night to help them avoid public transportation. For almost two years, we had no transportation, so we want to express our heartfelt thanks to all who donated to make that dream a reality. You all are a fantastic blessing as we move forward with a church plant and ministry compound for the dreams He has placed in our hearts.
